just some dumb fan-art.
been watching LPs of Master Quest lately.

one of my pet peeves is when people draw Dark Link as Palette Swap Link. he's a shadow. not Link with Black Hair. rararararar.

you have to understand my major hard on for this dumb game, it was the game i first played that made me totally love video games. i fucking love Zelda okay. it is almost ridiculous. like for real. always loved this miniboss as a kid, never tried to draw him before. everything about this stage is totally bitchin, the mirror water, the tree in the middle of nowhere. used to give me the creeps. just a really great stage all around. i guess he belongs more in the Shadow Temple though, huh? hahah.

oh Link-chan, you were my first love~ your thighs still make me swoon~~~~

so, my dumb old print over at the Drawgasmic show sold tonight.

you see the group of pieces in the middle? that empty spot is where mine was. i noticed that and checked my email, and there you go! pretty cool, i think!

too bad i didn't even break even with it. it cost $35 to enter and i priced it at thirty, because it was a cheap print, i didn't even like it anyway, and didn't think it would sell if it was overpriced. a lot of stuff there was pretty pricey and therefore didn't sell. bad decision to market your 8x11 piece at $250 .... considering the gallery is/was attended by a lot of casual art fans and younger people, in the middle of a lower-income neighborhood. not exactly Sotheby's here, people. these pierced 20-somethings don't know your name from your Deviantart page, thanks.

i was going through dumb life issues when i had to enter a piece and ended up being very unhappy with it. wish i could have done better. there was a lot of talented people at that show. wish i could have stayed longer tonight, too! i wish, i wish, i wish.

anyway i guess the point of this is to say i feel pretty good that someone thought my artwork was good enough to spend $30 on it. that's pretty all right, i guess!

by the by, according to someone from a comment book at the show, digital art isn't "real" art. so you better put away those tablets and Photoshop, ok? Professor Real Art Expert is in town!

today was kind of a bad day, full of depression and bad thoughts, even though a lot of nice things happened, too. i guess i have bad brain waves going today. really been needing someone to talk to lately. oh, well.

so here i have this drawing of a character from a Sailor Moon ripoff comic i made when i was 12. and i found it again four years later. there was a lot of empty space on the page next to it so i decided why the hell not, drew another one. found it again four years later. and again. weird how it's exactly four years in between. i guess i should keep drawing this girl until i die. weird how big i draw compared to back then. i think its cause i idolized my friend at the time, who drew really really tiny.

that girl's name is Sakura, by the way. her element is fire. *snrrkk*

decided to throw this up here, too. space opera comic i had when i was a wee one (13 years old by this time). i actually ended up drawing like 15 pages of this one, too! too bad i can't find them anywhere.
anyway, i decided a while ago i wanted to draw the comic again. so here's the characters. BUT NEW! i added helpful color squares for your convenience. one changes genders, one species. thankfully, they all changed their names (except for a couple). i'll read more Ghost in the Shell and get better at drawing machinery, and then i'll get back to you. god i love space opera stuff. need space cop comic nnngh

here's the bottom one by itself, FOR YOUR RECORDS:

love that blonde guy. changed from a girl to a buff dude. ooh la la!

made some comic pages for my Japanese II final project. we had to write a short story and illustrate it somehow.

don't worry, the dialogue is really boring so you're not missing anything. i guess i wanted to draw Chicago 2201 post-apocalyptic stuff or something? at any rate it was fun!

also i drew and inked all three of these LAST NIGHT. so ... i have basically no excuse to not draw comic pages this summer if i can get three whole pages knocked out in like five hours, huh!?

also i completed ALL MY FINALS TODAY! yay yay  yaaaaay

the last illustration assignment of the year! this time it's two t-shirt designs, two because as the teacher put it, this is a "cream puff assignment".

we were encouraged to submit the designs to designbyhumans.com but seeing as neither of mine have a wolf, lasers, wolf lasers, dinosaurs, or posterized photos of skyscrapers, i didn't see the point.

did i ever tell you that the Brady Bunch is one of my favorite tv shows ever? because the Brady Bunch is one of my favorite tv shows ever.
drawing animals is hard. i tried on this one.

and Mad Maxine! based on the iconic picture. because i fuckin love Mad Max. truth.
played around with a lot of genderswap ideas before settling on this one (like girl A-Team, haha!). i like drawing silly genderswap stuff despite the creepy fetishistic element that shut in internet nerds have given it. it's all in good fun, after all. the dog is a girl, too even though you can't tell. pretend like the bandana is pink or something. hehe.

see you this summer! planning on animating. and comics. i will now return to my animation hovel (i lost 8 hours of work today because Flash decided to corrupt my file. sob).
